Highland, Speyside, Islay - these Scotch producing regions need no introduction, but it was Campbeltown on the Kintyre Peninsula that was once the “Whisky Capital of the World,” producing more Scotch than anywhere else. While most of that production has left the area, what remains, namely Springbank Distillery and Old Tom Morris’ Machrihanish Links, are well worth seeking out with this cap in tow on the adventure across the Firth of Clyde.
